Programs
Equine Assisted Therapy Program
Through this program we are dedicated to serving the
disabled community by enhancing their physical, social,
educational and emotional abilities. Individuals of all ages
with a wide range of physical, cognitive and/or emotional
disabilities benefit from the therapeutic horseback riding
and other equine activities.
Animal Rescue
HELP takes in equine who have no other place to go. Most of
the animals that come to HELP arrive malnourished or with
some form of injury. In most cases the horses are nursed
back to health and live out the rest of their time in the
safety of the reserve. These rehabilitated horse are used to
teach children about animal health and safety.
Humane
Education
• Covers all aspects
pertaining to the humane paradigm and public health issues.
• General
accepted animal husbandry practices will be discussed.
• Ethology and
ecology issues will be evaluated and researched.
• Animal rights
vs. animal welfare will be evaluated and how the two
opposing sides affect the lives and
existence of animals.
• Education
enhancing the ability to evaluate and report cruelty/abuse
cases to appropriate authorities.
